I have ALWAYS regretted the times I went with the lowest bidder (that offer that seemed to good to be true, but the sales pitch was so good you ignored your gut)?  On the other hand, I have been pleased with the other jobs I contracted to firms that were either middle-of-the-road or sometimes the highest.  I ask a LOT of questions and don't apologize for it.  A good contractor will encourage you to ask questions up front--it benefits both of you when you are on the same page having all the i's dotted and t's crossed.</description>
